Sonja Schenkel
Sonja Schenkel is a creative entrepreneur, filmmaker, and sustainability specialist working at the intersection of One Health and social innovation. With over 20 years of global experience across Latin America, Africa, and Asia, she has led transformative projects blending art, science, and community engagement. She holds a PhD in International Relations and Development (IHEID, Geneva), a diploma in Sustainable Textiles from the Swiss Textile School (STF), teaches at Zurich University of the Arts and ETH Zurich, and is a certified green consultant for film and sustainability. Besides twenty seconds textiles, she is also the founder of Storytex, a cultural weaving studio, and co-founder of The Library for a Happy Future, an initiative promoting One Health through intergenerational dialogue.
